- Lead Maintenance across all shifts to improve equipment reliability, reduce unplanned downtime, and ensure effective response to production needs.
- Establish clear accountability and performance expectations for Maintenance Managers/Supervisors, mechanics, leads, planners, and support roles.
- Drive consistent execution through structured shift handoffs, escalation protocols, issue tracking, and follow-up.
- Ensure resources are effectively allocated to preventive maintenance, planned work, troubleshooting, breakdown response, and reliability improvements.
- Lead routine performance reviews focused on downtime, PM compliance, schedule completion, repeat failures, and open actions.
- Own site CMMS adoption, data integrity, and work management standards, including work order creation, prioritization, planning, execution, and closeout.
- Partner with the Planner/Scheduler to optimize labor loading, job readiness, parts availability, backlog management, and schedule compliance.
- Ensure accurate asset history, failure coding, labor reporting, parts usage, and maintenance documentation.
- Use CMMS data to identify trends, recurring failures, PM gaps, and reliability improvement opportunities.
- Increase planned versus reactive work while protecting production-critical and reliability-focused activities.
- Own PM performance and continuously improve preventive maintenance effectiveness and schedule adherence.
- Optimize PM programs by eliminating low-value activities and aligning tasks with equipment condition and failure modes.
- Partner with Engineering and OpEx to address chronic downtime through root cause analysis and corrective action.
- Implement predictive and condition-based maintenance practices where appropriate.
- Drive improvements in equipment uptime, MTTR, MTBF, and repeat failure reduction.
- Lead, coach, and develop Maintenance leaders to strengthen ownership, accountability, technical capability, and communication.
- Establish expectations for response time, work quality, PM completion, schedule adherence, and escalation.
- Conduct performance reviews, coaching, development planning, and succession planning for direct reports.
- Support hiring, onboarding, cross-training, and skill development across the Maintenance organization.
- Promote visible floor leadership and a culture of safety, urgency, teamwork, technical excellence, and accountability.
- Provide oversight of spare parts strategy, inventory controls, and maintenance readiness.
- Ensure critical spares are identified, stocked, maintained, and aligned with high-risk assets.
- Partner with the Spare Parts Supervisor to improve inventory accuracy, prevent stockouts, strengthen vendor support, and ensure parts availability for planned and emergency work.
- Ensure Maintenance activities comply with OSHA, EHS, cGMP, FDA, Quality, and site requirements.
- Reinforce safe work practices, including lockout/tagout, permitting, housekeeping, and incident prevention.
- Maintain accurate documentation to support equipment history, audits, investigations, validation, and calibration requirements.
- Partner with Quality and EHS to address maintenance-related risks, deviations, audit findings, and corrective actions.
- Sustain the Maintenance Transformation operating model through effective governance, KPIs, standard work, and leadership routines.
- Use downtime, CMMS, and production data to prioritize reliability and productivity improvements.
- Partner with OpEx to strengthen Maintenance Excellence, visual management, KPI governance, and structured problem-solving.

Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Maintenance Management, Operations Management, or a related technical field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant maintenance leadership experience will be considered.
- Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, SMRP, CMRP, or related reliability certification preferred.
- 10 or more years of progressive maintenance leadership experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment, including experience leading teams in a multi-shift operation.
- Experience with CMMS adoption or implementation, work management, PM execution, maintenance planning, and reliability improvement.
- Experience in FDA, cGMP, ISO, medical device, pharmaceutical, consumer products, or other regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience working in a union manufacturing environment preferred.
- Demonstrated success improving maintenance execution discipline, downtime performance, PM compliance, and team accountability.
- Maintenance execution systems, preventive maintenance programs, predictive maintenance, work order management, and reliability fundamentals.
- CMMS work processes including asset hierarchy, work order lifecycle, failure coding, PM scheduling, backlog management, and reporting.
- Root cause analysis, corrective action, repeat failure elimination, and data-driven problem solving.
- Safety, EHS, cGMP, FDA, Quality, and documentation requirements in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to drive accountability across all shifts.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to set expectations, provide feedback, and align cross-functional teams.
- Ability to coach supervisors and build leadership capability within the Maintenance organization.
- Ability to balance urgent production needs with long-term reliability discipline.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use CMMS, downtime, PM, and work order data to drive action.
- Manufacturing, packaging, processing, and utility environment.
- Requires regular presence on the manufacturing floor across multiple shifts as needed.
- Requires use of appropriate personal protective equipment in designated areas.
- May require standing, walking, climbing stairs or ladders, bending, kneeling, and inspecting equipment or work areas.
- May be required to respond to urgent operational or maintenance issues outside normal working hours based on business needs.
- Work is performed in a fast-paced, regulated environment requiring adherence to safety, quality, FDA, cGMP, and internal site procedures.
- $155,000 - $170,000 annually, plus bonus
