What You Will Do
You will perform painting, surface preparation, and light carpentry work to maintain and repair facility and structural assets.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces using sanding, grinding, stripping, or blasting methods
- Apply coatings, including paint, primers, sealers, and finishes to structural surfaces
- Work on metal, concrete, and other non-residential materials
- Perform repairs to wood and structural components, including doors, frames, and fixtures
- Patch, fill, and seal cracks, joints, and damaged areas
- Remove and reinstall fixtures and hardware as needed for proper surface access
- Mix and match coatings to achieve specified finishes and durability requirements
- Erect and work from ladders or scaffolding as needed
- Read work orders and determine materials and work requirements
- Calculate material needs and support job planning
What You Bring
- 3+ years of experience in commercial or structural painting (examples: facilities, bridges, infrastructure, industrial environments)
- Experience preparing and coating metal, concrete, or structural surfaces
- Ability to perform surface prep, repairs, and finishing work in field environments
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and painting equipment
- Background in facilities, construction, or infrastructure maintenance
- Basic carpentry or structural repair experience
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record
