AVP, SELF DIRECTED & COMMUNITY BASED SERVICES

Salary Pay Range: $74,274.20-$76,000
As a member of the Program Services Team, responsible for oversight of the Programs as assigned by the (Senior) Vice President.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for the oversight of Self-Directed Services, Traditional Community Habilitation, and Traditional In-Home Respite.
• Ensures programs provide quality services in compliance with the regulatory and funding requirements of DOH, Medicaid, OPWDD and agency standards. Develop, maintain, and revise appropriate policies and procedures.
• Ensure programs are of high quality and that improvement is continuous and immediate with appropriate follow up. Assures programs are prepared for internal and external reviews and surveys. Develop Plans for Corrective Action when necessary to improve compliance and quality in the services provided.
• Provides Financial and budget oversight to assigned areas, including financial justifications for additional positions, and unit utilization to maximize potential revenue.
• Awareness of incidents including knowledge of appropriate notifications, actions and follow up.
• Awareness of program support area needs (human resources, recruitment, training, information technology, property management, etc.)
• Supervision and professional development of Program Directors/Supervisors/Teams in all assigned areas.
• Proficient in communication skills with the ability to build rapport within and outside the agency to promote partnerships. Community knowledge and involvement, including cultural integration into People Inc. services and language accessibility for all.
• Complies with all agency policies and procedures.
• Special projects as assigned as well as other agency committees and initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• A bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, special education, public administration, health administration or a related human services field. At least two years of full-time related supervisory or management experience and at least one year of clinical experience.
OR
• Associates degree in a human services field and at least 10 years of full-time management experience provided to individuals with developmental disabilities with administrative experience overseeing multiple program programs.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for the supervision and professional development of Program Directors and Supervisory staff.
