Mental Health Technician Fulltime Days

• →🌱 Provide positive role modeling and teach appropriate life skills to residents.
• →👀 Conduct direct observation rounds during assigned shifts and document patient behavior.
• →🧠 Support daily living skills through task assignment, coaching, and supervision.
• →🎨 Lead or assist with individual and group activities and programs.
• →👋 Orient patients to the unit and assist with the discharge process.
• →🗣️ Use verbal de-escalation skills when a resident is agitated.
• →🚶 Accompany patients to meals, recreation, education activities, and unit-based programming.
• →🛡️ Help maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment.

• 🎓 High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 🔞 Must be 21 years of age or older.
• 🤝 At least one year of experience in a children’s services program or residential setting, or completion of two years of college coursework in social sciences.
• 🚗 Valid state driver’s license required.
• 🫶 Ability to successfully complete CPR and Crisis Prevention Intervention training during New Hire Orientation.
