RN-House Supervisor

• →Maintain effective working relationships with physicians, healthcare professionals, patients’ families, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members.
• →Assist in coordinating and supervising services on assigned units to promote a positive patient care environment.
• →Conduct regular rounds on nursing units, including checking in with licensed and non-licensed staff, monitoring acutely ill patients, and greeting new admissions.
• →Support a team-focused culture that enhances quality of care and the overall patient experience.
• →Provide guidance and support to nursing staff with assessments, care planning, prioritization, education, supplies, and medication availability.
• →Facilitate timely communication between nurses, providers, responsible parties, and outside vendors to support patient care needs.
• →Respond to emergencies and ensure appropriate procedures and safety measures are followed.
• →Help ensure staffing needs are met across assigned units.
• →Ensure that all staff members deliver care in accordance with the Standards of Care and Practice during the assigned shift.
• →Ensure hospital policies and procedures are being followed and act as a resource to the staff.
• →Responsibilities for compliance with the Joint Commission, CMS, state and regulatory standards and patient rights standards.
• →Ensure Infection Control, Safety and Risk Management policies and procedures are consistently implemented.
• →Review occurrences during shift, conduct investigations, reassess any involved parties, follow up on documentation and notification of all necessary individuals, close out all occurrences, and develop corrective action plans as needed.
• →Participate in performance improvement team.
• →Provide supervision and direction to all staff.
• →Continually evaluates the activities, morale and interpersonal relationships of the staff and promote methods to improve these areas.

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Missouri or qualified compact license required.
• Current CPR certification required; BLS certification preferred.
• Ability to become certified in Handle with Care within 30 days of start date.
• Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience required.
• Two years of inpatient behavioral health or mental health experience preferred.
• Three years of nursing experience preferred.
