JOB ALERT: Head of Accounting

We are looking for a strong Head of Accounting who is not afraid of responsibility, understands both accounting and business realities, and wants to help build a stable, well-organised finance function in a growing company.

This is a hands-on role.

We are looking for a person who understands accounting deeply, can organise processes, solve problems independently and work closely with the business and the team.

You will work directly with the Management Board and PLG Group Finance team, helping bring more structure, predictability and transparency into everyday operations.

Your responsibilities

• Full ownership of accounting and month/year-end closings.
• Preparation and supervision of statutory and management reporting.
• Responsibility for VAT, CIT and other tax compliance.
• Ensuring accounting correctness, reconciliations and proper documentation flow.
• Working closely with auditors, tax advisors and external institutions.
• Improving financial processes, controls and reporting quality.
• Supporting practical automation and process improvements.
• Leading and supporting a finance team.
• Active involvement in solving operational and accounting issues - not only supervising them.
• Helping organize and strengthen the finance function in a growing international environment.

We expect from you 

• Strong practical experience as Chief Accountant or senior finance lead (5+ years).
• Understanding of Polish accounting and tax regulations very well.
• Being organized, reliable and proactive.
• Direct and clear communication.
• Ownership and personally driving topics to completion.
• Very good Excel skills and experience with accounting systems (Comarch XL would be an advantage).
• Fluent Polish and good (B2) corporate English (used in management communication).
