Te whiwhinga mahi: The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time Clinical Pharmacist based in Taranaki.
You will work within our Extended Care Team in a supportive and collaborative environment, giving you the opportunity to utilise your Pharmacist knowlegde, working to eliminate inequities and achieving best possible health-related outcomes. You will assist patients and their health care providers in optimising medication use, reducing/preventing medication-related problems, and improving health outcomes by providing medication therapy management and other pharmaceutical care services. You will also promote health and wellness education, and disease prevention services.
This role in the flexible and future-focused Extended Care Team works alongside iwi, general practice, community health providers and Te Whatu Ora teams to provide quality evidenced based clinical care.
This role is fixed-term until May 2027 to cover parental leave, working up to 24 hours per week.
He kōrero mōu: About you
Ideally you will:
- Hold a current annual practising certificate (APC) - Requirement.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a clinical environment, and 5 years post-grad experience.
- Hold a Postgraduate Certificate or Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or Pharmacist Prescribing, or interest in pursuing same.
- Previous work in Primary Care preferred.
