In this role, you’ll be expected to lead and continuously develop Polestar’s global FP&A, group reporting and cash flow planning capabilities. Working as part of Group Controlling, you will be instrumental in strengthening financial governance, enabling strategic decisions and driving continuous improvement across planning and reporting processes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and business objectives

  • Driving scenario planning, sensitivity analysis and risk and opportunity assessments to support investment and decision-making

  • Delivering timely, accurate and insightful financial reporting, including KPI follow-up and variance analysis for executive management and the board

  • Owning group-wide cash flow planning and forecasting to ensure liquidity for operational and strategic needs

  • Developing the FP&A function through process improvements, automation and close collaboration with IT and business stakeholders

To succeed in this role, and at Polestar in general, you bring the confidence and judgement that comes from operating in complex, international finance environments. You are comfortable balancing strategic perspective with hands-on leadership, and you know how to turn financial analysis into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders. You work with structure and prioritization, communicate with clarity, and navigate change with a pragmatic and forward-looking mindset.

In addition, you’ll need the following qualifications:

  • Extensive leadership experience within finance, preferably with an automotive or industrial background

  • An academic degree in finance or equivalent experience demonstrating strong financial expertise

  • Solid controlling background with knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP and local reporting requirements

  • Strong analytical capability and experience working with advanced business analytics tools

  • International experience and the ability to lead across cultures and global interfaces
