Data Management Associate

At point72, the Data Management function sits at the heart of Operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all reference data that powers our global trading and reporting systems. We manage security master data, resolve discrepancies and support trading and operational processes across the Firm. This is a high impact role where precision, problem solving and cross functional collaboration are key.    

• →Maintain and manage the firm’s global security master and the full universe of reference data.
• →Create and update operational reference data used in trading and downstream systems - including trading/custodial accounts, broker codes, commission rates and legal entity details.
• →Troubleshoot and resolve pricing and data issues raised by the Trading Desk with urgency.
• →Work with Trade Support and Technology to investigate and remediate trade flow errors.  
• →Partner with stakeholders across Portfolio Management, Compliance, Stock Loan, Legal, Risk, Financial Reporting, Tax, Regulatory Reporting and Technology to resolve issues.
• →Collaborate with Technology to design, test, and deploy system enhancements.  
• →Identify and drive automation initiatives to increase straight-through processing and operational efficiency.

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, mathematics or related field
• 5-10 years of operations experience at a hedge fund or financial industry
• Strong attention to detail with excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills  
• Proven ability to prioritize effectively and operate with a strong sense of urgency
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Comfortable handling multiple tasks and adapting to a fast-paced environment
• A proactive, self-starter mindset – takes ownership and drives results
