Nordic Instructor

Teach cross-country skiing techniques (classic and skate) to guests of all ages and ability levels in both group and private lesson formats. 

Provide a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment tailored to each guest’s needs and goals. 

Demonstrate proper skiing techniques, warm-ups, and drills to help guests build skills and confidence. 

Educate guests on Nordic skiing etiquette, trail use, and safe practices on the terrain. 

Assist guests with equipment selection, fitting, and proper use of skis, poles, and boots. 

Adapt teaching methods to various learning styles, weather conditions, and snow conditions. 

Encourage guest participation in Nordic programs, events, and continued skill development. 

Monitor and evaluate guest progress, providing clear, constructive feedback.

This position is a seasonal position and may have fluctuations in hours worked based upon overall business volumes.   

High school degree or equivalent. 

Previous experience with teaching/coaching/mentoring in any athletic discipline.  

Able to demonstrate classic and skate techniques. 

Familiar with Nordic ski waxing fundamentals. 

Current PSIA-AASI certification(s) preferred. 

Able to pass background check to company standards 

Bending, reaching, climbing, pushing, pulling & prolonged standing. 

Eye/hand coordination & visual concentration on equipment. 

Concentrated reading and writing. 

Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.   

Variation in temperature from hot to cold.
