LPN-MED PASS-IV-FT DAYS-CARDIAC TELEMETRY UNIT CTU

The Licensed Practical Nurse administers patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The Licensed Practical Nurse collaborates as a member of the nursing team to accomplish patient care activities and contributes to the implementation of patient care. The LPN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures. The LPN provides physical, emotional and spiritual support that directly/ indirectly impacts patient outcomes and care provided to patients/ families/ significant others. Education: Diploma Program for Practical Nursing Licensure/Certification/Registration: * Valid Ohio Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license * Current AHA BLS certification * Certified to administer medications * Preferred: IV Certification Experience: Previous LPN experience is preferred Knowledge/Skills: * Must be able to multitask with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor * Basic computer knowledge * Strong organization skills * Effective interpersonal and communication skills
