Responsibilities

→Room patients, perform and document vital signs and patient backgrounds.
→Coordinate provider schedules and appointment, enter orders and prepare patient charts.
→Instruct patients and families as directed within scope of licensure or certification.
→Prepare patients and assist medical providers with in-office procedures and prepare and administer medications/immunizations.
→Maintain exam rooms and equipment to be within infection control standards. Ensure appropriate levels of medical supplies for each patient room.

Requirements

Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program or Practical Nursing program. Required

Minimum of 160 hours of direct patient care experience as a MA/LPN obtained through professional MA/LPN work experience or completion of student clinical rotations. Required
Current clinical experience as a Medical Assistant Preferred
Current clinical experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse Preferred

Color Discrimination - Constantly
Near Vision (Correctable to Jaeger 2 or 20/40 binocular) - Constantly

If holds other licenses that supersede CMA/RMA license may practice to the highest level of licensure with the approval of Quality Resources in writing. Approval to be kept on file with department supervisor. Employee must maintain licensure to continue working at higher level of service.
Certified as a Medical Assistant, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, or Registered Medical Assistant in the state of WI through an approved accreditor. Upon Hire Required
Valid Practical Nursing license in the state of WI through an approved accreditor. Upon Hire Required
CPS/BLS Certification Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers from approved program or Prevea sponsored program. Upon Hire Required
