Horizontal CNC Machinist II - 2nd Shift - OFFERING A $5000 SIGN ON BONUS

The CNC Machinist II - 2nd Shift operates under minimal supervision, operating CNC (computer numerical controlled) machinery to manufacture metallic and non-metallic parts. 

• →Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
• →Reads and interprets blueprints.
• →Properly and safely loads and unloads raw materials.
• →Proficient in the use of measuring instruments.
• →Uses gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
• →Ability to power on and operate CNC lathes and mills with minimal assistance. Must be self-sufficient.
• →Must be familiar with MAZAK, HAAS, Fanuc, and Mori Controls.
• →Understands and can function using M and G codes.
• →Must demonstrate a basic understanding of cutting tools.
• →Properly chooses/uses inserts, fixtures, and tooling.
• →Understands and can perform basic tool wear offsets.
• →Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery.
• →Assists in the organization and maintenance of the machine shop work environment.
• →Provides constant feedback and input into process improvement within the department.
• →Basic understanding and ability to follow manufacturing processes and procedures.
• →Utilizes and abides by ISO requirements and safety procedures.
• →Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions.
• →Communicates thoughts and ideas, both verbally and in writing, to co-workers and management.
• →Attends scheduled meetings and actively participates by providing meaningful input.

• In-depth knowledge of CNC milling machines and operations
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Proficiency in using measuring instruments and tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in CNC machining is preferred.
• 1 year of experience in CNC machining
• Ability to understand basic mechanical and manufacturing techniques
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently. 

• Frequently required to stand, walk, and reach during the duration of shift, 8-10 hours.
• Occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend.
• Frequently required to perform repetitive tasks and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Understands and observes all necessary safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as designated in the specific work area assigned.
• This position requires working night shifts.
• The work environment includes exposure to noise, dust, and machinery.
