Responsibilities
~1 min readAs a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using advanced nuclear medicine and PET/CT equipment. You will administer radiopharmaceuticals, operate imaging systems, and analyze scan results while ensuring patient safety and comfort. The role requires strict adherence to radiation protection guidelines, infection control protocols, and quality assurance standards. You will work closely with radiologists, physicists, and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and efficient diagnostic imaging services.
Requirements
~1 min read- Relevant degree in Nuclear Medicine or Radiography.
- HCPC registration as a Radiographer or Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
- Minimum 1-2 years post-qualification in Nuclear Medicine (NHS or private setting).
- Proficient with gamma cameras, PET-CT scanners, and radiopharmaceuticals.
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols and quality assurance.
- Ability to administer radiopharmaceuticals and conduct diagnostic procedures.
- Excellent communication skills with patients and healthcare teams.
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead and supervise junior staff when required.
