Responsibilities

→Performing full blood counts, coagulation studies, and detailed blood film morphology
→Ensuring accurate analysis and interpretation of results
→Maintaining quality control and contributing to clinical decision-making

Conducting blood grouping, antibody screening, and compatibility testing
Managing urgent transfusion requests in a high-pressure environment
Operating Grifols platforms (e.g., Erytra, DG Gel) and ensuring compliance with UKAS/MHRA standards

Requirements

HCPC registration
Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent
Proven experience in either Haematology (with morphology) or Transfusion Science
Familiarity with relevant analysers Siemens in Haematology or Grifols in Transfusion
Experience with Winpath LIMS
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
NHS experience (preferred)
