Seeking a detail-oriented Right-of-Way Lease Analyst with experience in land administration, lease payments, contract interpretation, and midstream land agreements to support a large Land Administration team. This role is responsible for reviewing and administering lease agreements, processing lease payments, maintaining land records, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
The ideal candidate will have experience with midstream surface leases, term right-of-way agreements, lease payment administration, and land records management. Candidates should be comfortable working across multiple systems, interpreting complex contracts, managing critical dates and payment schedules, and collaborating with accounting, legal, operations, and land teams.
This is a full-time, onsite position based in Houston, Texas.
Review and interpret lease agreements to ensure accurate understanding of payment obligations and land use terms
Process recurring lease payments in accordance with contractual requirements
Maintain lease records, payment schedules, critical dates, land descriptions, and supporting documentation
Coordinate with Land, Accounting, Operations, Legal, Tax, Audit, Commercial, Facilities, and Financial Reporting teams
Research and resolve ownership changes, payment inquiries, and contract-related issues
Prepare lease renewals, amendments, and terminations
Support coordination with government agencies and public entities as required
Utilize Google Earth, ArcGIS, and related mapping tools to review land parcels, rights-of-way, and property information
Interpret and communicate contractual rights and obligations to internal stakeholders
Research pipeline facility information and calculate CPI-based lease adjustments
Maintain physical and electronic lease files to support reporting and audit requirements
Experience in land administration, lease administration, contract administration, accounts payable, or related land services
Working knowledge of midstream surface leases and right-of-way agreements
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and data reconciliation
Strong contract interpretation and analytical skills
Excellent organizational and documentation management abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and systems simultaneously
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in land management, contract administration, lease administration, or a related field
Experience with Quorum Land System or similar land administration software
Knowledge of easement and right-of-way agreement setup and database management
Experience with Oracle systems
Midstream energy industry experience
Land Management certification or similar professional credential
Membership in professional organizations such as AAPL or IRWA
Experience with ArcGIS or other GIS platforms
Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development
