Step into a dynamic role that combines actuarial expertise with meaningful business impact.  As a Non-Life Actuarial Senior Associate, you’ll be part of a high-performing team delivering both advisory services and audit support to leading non-life insurers and reinsurers.

The role involves a mix of actuarial audit support and advisory work, including finance transformation, M&A due diligence, and strategic projects. You will have opportunities to develop practical experience across these areas while building a broader understanding of how actuarial analysis supports client decisions. The role also includes exposure to Expected Credit Loss (ECL) modelling and audit support work. The focus is on developing strong technical foundations, judgement, and consulting skills through client-facing work and collaboration with experienced team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support delivery of actuarial advisory engagements including valuations, M&A due diligence, strategic advisory projects, and finance transformation.

  • Support actuarial audit engagements across various reporting bases, including IFRS 17, IFRS 9 ECL, US GAAP, and local regulatory standards.

  • Support market analysis, product reviews, capital modelling, and risk assessments to inform client strategies.

  • Lead discussions with clients to share results and manage scope, timelines, and effort.

  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams across audit, deals, and advisory functions to deliver integrated solutions.

  • Monitor and research regulatory and market developments impacting the insurance sector.

  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and actively seek opportunities to learn from senior team members, building both technical and consulting capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.

  • Studying towards professional actuarial designation or part-qualified / qualified.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in actuarial roles including experience in some of the following: reserving under different regulatory bases, IFRS 17, IFRS 9 ECL audits or credit risk modelling, and the RBC regime in Singapore and across the region.

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in actuarial software and tools (e.g. Excel, R, Python, SAS).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.

  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Why PwC?

  • Access to a diverse range of clients and projects that will challenge and expand your expertise.

  • Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.

  • A collaborative and inclusive work environment that values innovation and diversity.

  • Competitive compensation and benefits package.
