Responsibilities

→Screen and investigate alerts from World-Check One and ComplyAdvantage against PEPs, Sanctions Lists, and Adverse Media
→Process transaction screening alerts in a timely manner, making acceptance or refusal decisions in our tooling system
→Maintain detailed documentation of all PEP and Sanctions files, ensuring complete audit trails
→Collaborate with cross-functional teams (CFT Swift, Fraud, SEPA, Open Banking, AML) to improve processes and maintain seamless operations
→Contribute to compliance projects, including implementing new procedures and improving tool calibration

Experience: At least first experience in AML/Compliance, with screening expertise in PEPs, sanctions, and adverse media
Languages: Fluent in English. German language is a plus
Technical skills: Strong understanding of sanctions regulations and Excel/Google Sheets proficiency for tracking and reporting
Working style: Organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks while managing multiple cases efficiently
Cultural fit: Proactive communicator who thrives in fast-paced fintech environments and isn't afraid to share feedback

Cross-functional collaboration: Work directly with multiple teams (CFT Swift, Fraud, SEPA, Open Banking, AML) to ensure comprehensive compliance coverage and resolve complex cases
Professional screening tools: Work with World-Check One, ComplyAdvantage, and Qonto's internal tooling system

After completing her Master's degree, Marina built a strong career in Financial Crime prevention at Ebury before joining Qonto in 2020, where she now serves as Lead AFC Sanctions & Investigations, managing a team of nine professionals. Marina balances high compliance standards with a supportive, growth-focused approach. She provides hands-on coaching on complex cases and encourages her team to challenge existing processes while maintaining excellence.
