As an Admissions Assessment Officer, this is what you’ll be doing:

The role As an Admissions Assessment Officer, you’ll play a vital role at the heart of our student admissions journey — helping talented individuals from around the world take the next step toward their academic goals.

Your work will focus on four key areas:

  1. Evaluating potential: Reviewing and processing applications on behalf of our UK and ANZ University partners, ensuring every applicant is assessed fairly and in accordance with client admission requirements and institutional policies.
  2. Maintaining quality and compliance: Apply admissions policies, procedures, and quality standards consistently throughout the assessment process, ensuring decisions are accurate, compliant, and supported by appropriate evidence and documentation.
  3. Driving operational excellence: Processing applications with a high level of attention to detail, proactively identifying discrepancies, escalating risks where appropriate, and contributing to a culture of continuous quality improvement.
  4. Supporting student success: Ensuring applications are complete, following up with applicants, and proactively guiding them through the process — turning interest into enrolment and ambition into opportunity.

Role responsibilities

  • Assessing applications with accuracy and consistency: Review and process student applications in line with client admissions policies and guidelines, ensuring assessment decisions are accurate, consistent, and evidence based.
  • Maintain quality and compliance standards: Consistently apply quality assurance principles, internal processes, and regulatory requirements throughout the admissions process, ensuring compliance with client expectations and organisational standards.
  • Verifying credentials: Validate academic qualifications, transcripts, English language proficiency results, financial documentation, and other supporting evidence, identifying inconsistencies or potential risks and escalating where necessary.
  • Supporting students and agents: Respond promptly and effectively to enquiries, guiding applicants through the process and providing a positive experience.
  • Maintaining data integrity: Accurately record assessment outcomes and applicant information across multiple systems, ensuring data remains complete, reliable, and audit ready always.
  • Contribute to quality improvement: Actively participate in quality assurance activities, implement feedback from QA reviews and quality improvement sessions, identify recurring issues, and continuously improve assessment accuracy and consistency.
  • Professional collaboration: Communicate with clients in a constructive, professional manner and comply with all relevant policies, procedures, and legislation.
  • Delivering efficiency: Ensure timely processing of applications, meeting agreed KPIs, while recording daily tasks and volumes accurately.
  • Flexibility and adaptability: Work across multiple clients, systems and processes while maintaining consistent service delivery, assessment of quality, and compliance standards.
  • Any other duties that fall within the purpose and scope of the role.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys balancing attention to detail with meaningful impact, delivering a high-quality admissions service that supports both institutional integrity and student success through accurate, compliant, and efficient application assessment.

Key skills and experience we’re looking for someone who:

  • Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and consistently produces accurate, high-quality work.
  • Has experience in international university admissions (highly preferred).
  • Possesses a strong understanding of international qualifications for entry into UK or Australian universities.
  • Has the ability to present documents clearly and professionally, ensuring information is accurate and complete.
  • Understands the importance of quality assurance, compliance, and data accuracy in an admissions environment.
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise competing tasks while meeting service level agreements and deadlines.
  • Can work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Brings strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to their work.
  • Communicates effectively in written and spoken English, ensuring clarity with students, agents, and colleagues.
  • Is committed to achieving team goals and contributing to overall success.
  • Has a good command of basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with student management systems such as E-Vision, StudyLink, or other commonly used university platforms.
