About the Role
~1 min readAs our Senior Product Engineer, you'll be responsible for developing & delivering commercially viable & market driven high quality engineering solutions. You'll be part of a cross-functional team collaborating across product design, test and validation, supply chain, and manufacturing partners to deliver world-class products that meet Quad Lock’s standards for performance, durability, and user experience.
Partner closely with Product Design, Manufacturing and supplier partners to develop new products from concept through production
Lead mechanical/electronic engineering, design validation, and engineering documentation, ensuring adherence to best practices, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with customer and commercial expectations
Manage multiple projects, coordinating resources effectively and ensuring they're delivered within scope, on time, and within budget
Support the design and innovation process, utilising engineering expertise and industry trends to conceptualise and develop cutting-edge and market-leading products
Support current product continuous improvement initiatives, driving design changes as required
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to align on project goals, priorities, and resource requirements, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and effectively
Collaborate with our Compliance Engineer to ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, standards, and certifications for consumer products
Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide input on product cost optimisation strategies without compromising quality or performance. Collaborate with strategic sourcing and manufacturing teams to optimise sourcing and production processes
Identify potential risks and mitigate them through appropriate planning and mitigation strategies. Assess and manage technical risks associated with product development, ensuring timely resolution and minimising impact on project timelines and deliverables
Be an exemplary team player, mentor junior engineers and contribute to best-practice engineering standards

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
Strong experience in product development, ideally in consumer hardware or accessories
Advanced proficiency in CAD (e.g., SolidWorks or equivalent)
Strong knowledge of injection moulding, metals, plastics, elastomers, and assembly processes
Proven experience managing products from concept to mass production
Strong understanding of DFM, DFA, GD&T, and tolerance stack-up analysis
Experience working with offshore manufacturers (Asia experience highly regarded)
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and stakeholder management capability
