BSP SW Customer Engineer

## Company: Qualcomm China ## Job Area: Engineering Group, Engineering Group > Software Applications Engineering General Summary: Join Qualcomm Customer Engineering team and work with world leading Internet of Everything device makers to design, develop and launch exciting new Qualcomm products. The Linux BSP Customer Engineer will work closely with Qualcomm customers to: -Understand customer requirements and designs -Analyze Linux kernel and Android userspace code -Co-develop custom solutions on Linux/Android -Debug and resolve system level functional and issues Skills/Experience The candidate will collaborate with cross functional teams worldwide including chip, platform, product and software development teams to support customers during system design, board bring-up, continuous integration, stabilization, optimization, product launch and maintenance release stages. Prior experience in Qualcomm MSM products is preferred. -Excellent High level language (C, C++, Java) skills -Experience in software development on Mobile/Linux/Embedded platforms including compiling, linking, loading, executing and debugging firmware images -Prior experience on Linux Kernel 5.x/6.x -Experience in Kernel Architecture and issue debugging \- Experience in USB issue debugging is preferred \- Experience in PCIE issue debugging is preferred -Excellent written and verbal skills in English -Strong background in customer engagement, issue tracking and problem resolution Educational Requirements \- Bachelor or above with a major of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or relevant. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience. • 2+ years of experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. • 1+ year of experience with debugging techniques.
