## Company: Qualcomm India Private Limited ## Job Area: Engineering Group, Engineering Group > Software Engineering General Summary: * 9+ years of Software Engineering or related experience. * Excellent in programming using C/C++/Assembly/Python/Javascript. * In-depth Understanding of software stack - Linux Internals/device drivers. * Strong understanding of Computer architecture and Operating system concepts. * Strong problem solving skills - look at big picture and unorthodox ways to solve challenging performance problems Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. • 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. * Leverages knowledge of CPU Architecture to develop and/or optimize Software for high performance and low power. * Run benchmarks for applications and performs critical pre- and post-silicon verification to ensure performance and power goals are met. * Develops new benchmarks for upcoming areas and workloads across product segments * Understands software workloads at next level (libraries, compiler, assembly, runtime, algorithms) and evaluates optimization opportunities * Collaborates with internal (CPU, Compiler, Kernel) and external (benchmark vendors, open source community) teams to implement solutions that meet CPU performance requirements. ​Additional Job Description * As a leading technology innovator, Qualcomm pushes the boundaries of what's possible to enable next-generation experiences and drives digital transformation to help create a smarter, connected future for all. * As a Qualcomm CPU Software Architect you will develop and optimize Software that pushes the envelope on performance, energy efficiency, and scalability across the product segments and business units.
