Gaming Performance and Power Optimization Software Engineer

## Company: Qualcomm China ## Job Area: Engineering Group, Engineering Group > Software Engineering General Summary: * Drive performance and power optimization across system components to ensure efficient resource utilization and improved user experience. * Analyze and tune CPU architecture behavior, focusing on scheduling strategies and CPU/GPU/NPU/Bus Dynamic Clock and Voltage Scaling (DCVS). * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions for performance improvements. * Work closely with GPU teams to optimize graphics performance and ensure balanced CPU/GPU workloads. * Develop tools and methodologies for performance profiling, benchmarking, and regression analysis. Minimum Qualifications \- 3+ years working experience in semiconductor field or embedded software development. \- 1+ yeas working experience in performance and power optimization on Android platform. \- Above master degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. \- Understand ASM/C language and Call stack \- C /C++, python and JAVA programming skills \- Be familiar with ARM CPU architecture \- Be familiar with CPU schedule, CPU DCVS/GPU DCVS \- Be familiar with Android framework/Linux OS kernel. \- Understand system hardware/software architecture on mobile platforms \- Familiarity with GPU architecture and performance tuning is highly desirable. Preferred Qualifications \- Knowledge/Experience in ARM based low-level SW development \- Experience with mobile platform and SDK development on Android or Linux \- Opensource development experience \- ARM processors and/or embedded software development on mobile devices \- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills \- Independent and motivated problem solver \- Fluent in English language both written and verbal. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
