2nd Shift Differential: +$3/hour

We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel Fitter to prepare and fit steel components for fabrication. This position requires strong layout and measurement skills, the ability to work from shop drawings, and experience positioning and aligning structural steel prior to welding.

Review shop drawings, blueprints, and fabrication details to determine proper assembly and placement.

Perform layout and mark steel components according to required dimensions.

Measure, position, and secure structural steel pieces for fabrication.

Complete fit-up and alignment of steel components before welding.

Prepare and position parts for welding and final assembly.

Set up and operate fabrication equipment, including a track torch.

Monitor dimensions and component placement throughout the fabrication process.

Inspect completed fit-ups for proper measurements, alignment, and workmanship.

Identify dimensional or alignment problems and make necessary corrections.

Coordinate with supervisors and other shop employees to maintain production schedules.

Keep tools, materials, and work areas organized.

Follow all applicable safety requirements and shop procedures.
