We are building an innovative, end-to-end AI agent chain by connecting two platforms to automate the agile planning process and support the software development lifecycle through AI-powered agents.

Atlassian Rovo plays a key role in processing business requirements, extracting relevant knowledge from Confluence and Jira, and creating development-ready User Stories with clearly defined Acceptance Criteria.

In the next phase of the process, GitLab Duo takes over: based on the Jira Story, the solution generates a technical specification, creates the development branch and initial code structure, produces tests, and ultimately opens a Merge Request for review.

We are looking for an experienced Atlassian Rovo Specialist to design, build, and scale this end-to-end solution.

Design and develop Atlassian Rovo agents to automate the process from initial ideas and requirements through to development-ready User Stories.

Integrate Confluence, Jira, and other relevant knowledge sources into the agent workflow.

Build and configure Rovo agents using Agent Studio, ensuring they operate with the appropriate context and are tailored to customer requirements.

Develop scalable Rovo agent templates that enable project and product teams to provide their own context without requiring extensive Rovo or AI expertise.

Define a standardized User Story structure and format that can be processed automatically by downstream systems and agents.

Design and implement the handover and integration process between Jira and GitLab Duo.

Ensure the solution is scalable and designed for long-term use, rather than as a one-off prototype.

Contribute to the development of a working end-to-end solution and the overall scaling concept.

Strong, in-depth experience with Jira Cloud and Confluence Cloud.

Solid understanding of Jira workflows, custom fields, automation, and permission structures.

Hands-on experience with Atlassian Rovo, particularly:

• Rovo Chat
• Rovo Search
• Rovo Agents
• Agent Studio
• Experience working with the Jira REST API, webhooks, and Atlassian Forge and/or Connect.
• Experience with prompt engineering and context engineering for LLM-based agents.
• Strong communication skills in both German and English, spoken and written.
