Quanata (San Francisco, CA) seeks a Senior Software Developer in Test SDET Front End to design, lead, and optimize scalable automated test frameworks, tools, and scripts for web front-end products across multiple product streams, driving integration, regression, and performance testing, embedding automation within CI/CD pipelines, collaborating cross-functionally to refine requirements and test strategies, and advancing best practices through continuous tooling innovation and process improvement. Specific duties include: develop and maintain automated test frameworks, tools, and scripts for web front-end products across multiple product streams (15%); design and execute integration, regression and performance tests using industry-standard tools and build and enhance scalable, reusable test automation solutions and integrate testing artifacts with CI/CD pipelines (35%); collaborate with product managers, engineers, and QA teams to plan and test new features, clarifying requirements to create targeted test scenarios (25%); research and implement new automated testing tools and techniques, following industry best practices, and proactively removing obstacles to ensure smooth test execution and delivery (25%). Must take and pass a series of pre-hire technical assessments including a Coding Exercise in a Python Language, Framework Design Challenge, Bug-Finding/Exploratory Test Case Review, and CI/CD Integration Scenario. Option to work remotely from anywhere in the U.S. Required travel for team meetings or company gatherings about 2 times a year.

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related field of study, plus 8 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Software Developer in Test SDET Front End, Senior Software Developer in Test, Technology Analyst, or similar software testing position. Must have 7 years of experience with each of the following: testing automation framework design & implementation; conducting UI/Web UI test automation using Selenium WebDriver or equivalent; conducting framework/tool research and experimentation; identifying Bottleneck; programming/scripting using Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or other similar languages. Must have 5 years of experience working with integration and regression testing. Must also have 4 years of experience working with each of the following: BDD/POM or similar test structure patterns; and CI/CD pipeline integration of test artifacts. Additionally, must have 2 years of experience working with SQL and databases. Specific experience must also include: working in Agile environments and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams; and providing technical leadership through code reviews, mentoring team members, and facilitating knowledge sharing. Must take and pass a series of pre-hire technical assessments including Coding Exercise in a Python Language, Framework Design Challenge, Bug Finding/Exploratory Test Case Review, and CI/CD Integration Scenario. Option to work remotely from anywhere in the U.S. Required travel for team meetings or company gatherings about 2 times a year. Salary: $236,936/yr.

Employees based in the San Francisco Bay Area or in Providence, Rhode Island may commute to one of our local offices as desired.  
  • Hours: We maintain core meeting hours from 9AM - 3PM Pacific time for collaborating with team members across all time zones.
