Multi Skilled Technician – Facilities

  The Role   An opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Technician to join our Maintenance Team who are responsible for maintaining site utilities, plant equipment, and building infrastructure.   The key tasks of the position are:   Perform planned preventative maintenance in accordance with the scheduled  programme Identify and perform any corrective and reactive maintenance, ensuring plant and equipment operates to its optimum Operate the BMS control system to assess and interrogate plant and equipment performance. Perform system shutdowns and isolations in accordance with a safe system of work Ensure work is conducted in compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, internal policies/procedures and client requirements where appropriate Work with due regard to health & safety of self & others Monitor and supervise contractor personnel Work flexibly across the site to meet business needs Carry out general maintenance on HVAC, piped services and electrical systems Work on Steam Generation and Distribution Systems. (Training provided where required) Portable appliance testing of electrical equipment Participate in the out of hours callout rota.   The Candidate   You will be educated to a minimum of HNC (or equivalent), in an engineering discipline, preferably possess true Multi-Skilled capabilities being competent in both electrical and mechanical disciplines. technician. Be able to demonstrate technical knowledge of building services and computer maintenance systems. Previous experience gained in a similar role would be advantageous, the Company will provide the relevant site specific training for candidates who do not possess all the necessary competencies. You should be able to demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills and must be self-motivated.  A high level of personal integrity and commitment is essential, as is a flexible approach.     Eligibility to Work in the UK   Please note that this position is not eligible for sponsorship under the UK points-based immigration system.
