R.J. Corman Material Sales is seeking a CDL-A Driver to join our team in Celina, OH

Responsibilities:

Safely operate hi-rail grapple trucks, flatbeds, and step deck vehicles to transport rail and track materials to customer job sites
Stage, load, secure, and deliver materials according to dispatch instructions and customer specifications
Off-load materials at designated drop points, ensuring accuracy and care in handling
Verify material types, quantities, and delivery details against work orders; communicate discrepancies promptly
Maintain positive working relationships with clients, field crews, and internal teams through professional conduct and clear communication
Conduct routine equipment and vehicle inspections; perform basic preventative maintenance to ensure operational readiness
Accurately complete and submit DOT-required paperwork, delivery logs, fuel receipts, and inventory usage reports
Operate straight and combination vehicles in compliance with DOT, FRA, and company transportation regulations
Maintain a clean driving record and uphold all safety standards, including PPE and site-specific protocols
Support general yard operations as needed, including material staging, equipment upkeep, and site cleanliness
Perform additional duties as assigned to support yard operations, inventory integrity, and team success

Specialized or Technical Knowledge, or Education and Experience: 

Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with clean driving record
Working knowledge of DOT, FRA, and Railroad safety regulations, including PPE and site specific compliance
Experience in material handling, logistics, or construction delivery, ideally withing rail or industrial sectors
Basic mechanical aptitude for conducting pre-trip inspections and identifying maintenance needs
Familiarity with GPA systems, dispatch software, and digital delivery logs
Customer service mindset, with ability to represent the company professionally during deliveries and site interactions
Forklift and equipment hauling experience is preferred

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, and maintain balance for extended periods in outdoor and industrial environments
Requires the ability to occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, and perform tasks at varying heights or confined spaces.
Must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver tools and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
Frequent torso twisting and upper body movement required while operating machinery, including forklifts, and grapple trucks
Ability to perform physical tasks safely and consistently in varying weather conditions and around active rail operations

Environmental Conditions:

Work is performed across varied settings, including office environments and outdoor material yards, often in proximity to moving vehicles and heavy equipment
Regular exposure to weather elements such as heat, cold, rain, and wind; appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required during yard activities and site visits

Major or Unusual Problems:

Must be flexible and responsive to changing schedules, particularly during Generator Deployments or Storm Team activations, which may require extended hours or rapid mobilization

Job Dimensions:

Plays a hands-on role in daily yard operations, with direct reporting to the Yard Superintendent and regular coordination with sales, transportation, and warehouse teams
