Finance & AccountingCredit Analyst
Brighten is looking for a Credit Analyst to join our Reverse Mortgage team in either Sydney or Melbourne. You'll manage a portfolio of reverse mortgage applications end-to-end — from compliance discussions with applicants through to final checks before settlement — helping older Australians access the equity in their homes safely and with confidence.
What you'll do
- Complete reverse mortgage compliance and disclosure calls, guiding applicants through Money Smart projections and helping them understand their loan
- Review and verify loan applications against credit policy, from initial submission through to post-approval checks
- Liaise with brokers, solicitors, valuers and internal teams to keep applications moving smoothly
- Manage the Reverse Mortgage team inbox and respond to broker and customer queries
- Build toward a Delegated Lending Authority as you grow in the role
Why join us
- Genuine impact — help customers make confident, well-understood decisions about a significant financial product
- Variety and autonomy — no two days are the same, with real ownership over your portfolio
- Growth path — support to build credit skills and work toward delegated lending authority
- Great culture — an entrepreneurial, non-bank lender with senior leaders who are genuinely accessible
- Backed by RAM Group — offices across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Hong Kong and Shanghai, funded by top-tier banks and institutional capital
- Certified Inclusive Employer (Diversity Council Australia) and certified Family Friendly Workplace, with corporate giving and wellness programs
What you'll bring
- A professional, warm phone manner and the ability to explain technical detail simply
- 1+ years' experience in broking, finance or banking (admin, call centre or support officer background welcome); 2+ years desirable
- Strong data entry, organisation and time management skills, with the ability to work autonomously
- Excellent relationship-building skills across internal and external stakeholders
- Attention to detail, patience, and a positive, hands-on attitude
- Desirable: Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking or Credit Risk Management, a relevant diploma/degree, AAMC/CPD Rise Seniors Equity Release & Reverse Mortgages course, or prior credit/non-bank experience.
