Service Center Technician - Fort Worth

Malin’s MLC Install Center is where new forklifts come through to be prepared, installed, inspected, and staged for customer delivery. 

As an MLC Service Center Technician, you’ll work hands-on with new material handling equipment while developing your mechanical and technical skills alongside an experienced team. 

This is a great opportunity for entry-level technicians, recent trade school graduates, or mechanically inclined individuals looking to start and grow a career in the material handling industry. 

40 hours per week are guaranteed, with overtime available or required based on shop workload and business needs. 

New Equipment Installation & Preparation 

• →Install accessories, components, and options on new forklifts and material handling equipment. 

• →Inspect, adjust, troubleshoot, and prepare equipment for customer delivery. 

• →Perform mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic work as required. 

• →Read and follow service manuals, schematics, and installation instructions. 

• →Document completed work and parts used. 

• →Ensure equipment meets quality and safety expectations before leaving the Install Center. 

• →Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. 

• Load and unload forklifts and equipment from trailer as needed. 

• Move and stage equipment throughout the facility. 

• Assist with receiving incoming equipment and staging completed units for delivery. 

• Help organize the warehouse, shop, equipment, parts, and supplies as needed. 

• Support the MLC and warehouse teams during high-volume periods. 

• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn. 

• Mechanical, automotive, industrial, aviation, military, or similar experience is preferred. 

• Entry-level candidates and recent trade school graduates are encouraged to apply. 

• Forklift experience is helpful but not required. 

• Basic electrical and hydraulic knowledge is preferred. 

• Dependable, punctual, safety-conscious, and team-oriented. 

• Strong attention to detail and quality. 

• Basic computer and communication skills. 

• Coachable with a desire to build a long-term technical career. 

• Guaranteed 40-hour work week. 

• Overtime as needed based on Install Center workload and business needs. 

• Work is primarily performed within the MLC Install Center and warehouse. 

• Technicians are expected to assist with both technical and warehouse responsibilities as needed. 

This is an active, hands-on position requiring standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting. 

The position may require lifting or moving up to 100 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds continuously. 

Employees may be exposed to normal shop and warehouse conditions, including noise, vibration, oils, moving equipment, electrical components, and chemicals.
