About the Role

Join our pharmacy team as a Senior Pharmacist and play a key role in delivering safe, high quality and patient focused pharmacy services. You’ll lead the day to day operation of your designated pharmacy area, using your expertise and independent judgement to provide trusted medicines information and therapeutic advice.
Working closely with patients, medical, nursing and other health professionals, you’ll help shape the best possible use of medicines across the hospital. You’ll bring a strong focus on safety, quality and value, while supporting effective, evidence based care that delivers better outcomes for patients.
The recent expansion of the Margaret Tobin Centre at Flinders Medical Centre, involving a new Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), provides opportunity to develop speciality clinical pharmacy services in a complex field. You will work alongside the SALHN Pharmacy Mental Health team providing an opportunity for collaboration, teaching and mentorship.
You’ll bring strong hospital pharmacy expertise, leadership and a commitment to safe, high quality care, along with:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy and registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia
- Extensive hospital pharmacy experience and leadership capability
- Strong communication, organisation, problem solving and research skills
- Ability to lead, supervise and work effectively across multidisciplinary teams
