About the Role
~1 min readAs our Administrative Assistant, you’ll play an important role in keeping the Pharmacy Administration section and broader Division running smoothly. Working closely with the Office Manager and Senior Administration Officer, you’ll provide professional, confidential and reliable administrative support, helping create an organised and welcoming environment for staff and visitors. Your attention to detail, initiative and friendly approach will make a real difference to the day-to-day experience of the pharmacy team. You’ll also provide timely and accurate administrative and secretarial support to meet the needs of pharmacy staff.
This varied role includes invoicing, processing of daily paperwork and day to day administrative tasks, giving you the opportunity to contribute to resources that support quality and consistency across the team. We’re looking for an organised, capable and approachable administrative professional who enjoys supporting a busy healthcare team and takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality service. You’ll bring a positive, flexible approach, strong attention to detail and the ability to work confidently both independently and as part of a team.

Strong administrative skills: Demonstrated clerical, literacy, numeracy, filing, data entry and keyboard skills, with sound knowledge of secretarial and office procedures.

Organised and adaptable: Ability to prioritise competing demands, manage workloads effectively, work under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with accuracy.

Confident communicator and team player: Well-developed interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.

Healthcare and systems experience: Experience in a healthcare administrative setting, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Access, and a sound understanding of Work Health & Safety, quality management, risk management and client-focused service.
