Red Cell Partners is an incubation firm building and investing in rapidly scalable technology-led companies that are bringing revolutionary advancements to market in three distinct practice areas: healthcare, cyber, and national security. United by a shared sense of duty and deep belief in the power of innovation, Red Cell is developing powerful tools and solutions to address our Nation’s most pressing problems.

You will serve as a strategic finance leader and co-pilot to Trase leadership, owning capital allocation, GTM economics, and the operating system required to scale Trase from early revenue to a repeatable, scalable business.

This is not a back-office accounting role. You'll partner directly with leadership on the highest-leverage financial decisions facing the company—where to invest, how to price, and how to build the financial infrastructure that supports rapid growth. You'll operate across two dimensions: an internal operating focus that keeps the company financially disciplined and decision-ready, and an external GTM focus that connects finance to commercial strategy and market positioning.

Responsibilities

~1 min read
  • Manage runway, scenario planning, and cash visibility.
  • Evaluate ROI across product, GTM channels, and customer segments to inform where Trase should double down vs. pull back.
  • Translate strategic choices into financial tradeoffs and operating plans.
  • Partner with GTM on sales capacity, pipeline, pricing, and customer acquisition efficiency.
  • Build ROI models that connect customer value to commercial strategy.
  • Track AI-specific economics such as inference/compute costs, gross margin, and revenue per deployed workflow or agent.
  • Own the core finance operating cadence: budget, forecast, reporting, accounting, tax, and compliance.
  • Build clean reporting so that leadership has timely, decision-ready financial visibility.
  • Optimize the finance and GTM systems stack, including Salesforce, FP&A tools, and reporting workflows.
  • Support board, investor, and Red Cell Partners reporting with clear financial narratives and metrics.
  • Help prepare for future fundraising with models, KPI reporting, and performance storylines.
  • Coordinate with existing owners on investor, platform, and studio-related workflows without duplicating efforts.
  • 10+ years of finance experience, including strategic finance, FP&A, or operating roles at high-growth technology or SaaS companies.
  • Proven track record partnering with executive leadership on capital allocation, unit economics, and company-level planning.
  • Strong command of the finance operating cadence: budgeting, forecasting, reporting, accounting, tax, and compliance.
  • Hands-on with finance and GTM systems, including Salesforce and modern FP&A tooling.
  • Experience supporting board and investor reporting; fundraising preparation a strong plus.
  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity in an early-stage, fast-moving environment—able to move between strategic framing and hands-on execution.
  • A pure accounting or controllership role
  • A back-office function disconnected from commercial strategy
  • A role that waits for direction rather than driving it
  • Deployed platform, real results—we're not selling a roadmap. Trase is in production with demonstrated outcomes.
  • A defining market moment. Every enterprise is trying to operationalize AI at scale—you'll be shaping the economics of how that happens.
  • True ownership. You're building the financial infrastructure, the models, and the operating cadence. The people who join now define how this company operates for years.
  • Backed by Red Cell Partners with a leadership team that has operated at scale, including our President, formerly VP of AI/ML at AWS.
