Senior Marketing Manager / Head of Marketing

Red Ember Recruitment is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager / Head of Marketing for our client based in Woodstock, Cape Town. We are seeking a highly experienced and commercially minded marketing professional to take full ownership of the company’s entire marketing portfolio. This is a senior, office-based role suited to someone who can develop marketing strategy, oversee execution, and manage both internal and external marketing resources. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving brand visibility, lead generation, and business growth, with a strong focus on the real estate sector. The role requires someone who is equally comfortable operating strategically while remaining hands-on with day-to-day marketing activities. The successful incumbent will lead internal support staff, coordinate specialist service providers including Google Ads consultants, website developers, and email marketing consultants, and ensure all marketing campaigns and projects are delivered to a high standard. Key Responsibilities: Take ownership of the full marketing portfolio Develop and implement integrated marketing strategies Oversee property listings and related marketing content Manage social media platforms, content calendars, email campaigns, and digital advertising Ensure brand consistency across all marketing channels Lead and manage internal marketing support staff and external agencies Manage marketing budgets, reporting, and campaign performance analysis Identify opportunities to improve brand visibility and generate quality leads Coordinate and oversee all external marketing suppliers and service providers Monitor and optimise campaign effectiveness and ROI Requirements Proven experience managing an end-to-end marketing function Strong digital marketing and brand management expertise Experience managing teams, agencies, and external suppliers Excellent project management and organisational skills Commercially focused with strong analytical and reporting capabilities Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Personality & Working Style Strategic thinker with strong execution capability Highly organised and detail-oriented Proactive, accountable, and self-directed Confident communicator and decision-maker Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment Why This Role Matters This is a critical role within the business and will serve as the central owner of all marketing activities. Requirements Relevant Marketing degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification Alternatively, substantial experience in a similar senior marketing role Minimum 5 years’ marketing experience Minimum 3 years’ experience in a senior marketing management role Experience within real estate, property, or professional services will be highly advantageous Strong digital marketing and campaign management experience Proven leadership and team management capability Strong reporting, analytical, and budgeting skills Proficiency in social media management, email marketing, and digital advertising platforms
