Responsibilities

    • →Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests in a courteous and professional manner, regardless of workload or time of day.
    • →Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all hotel services, features, and local attractions to accurately assist guests with inquiries.
    • →Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas at all times.
    • →Use appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment for designated surfaces, following safety guidelines.
    • →Transport and securely position housekeeping carts stocked with cleaning supplies, amenities, and linens.
    • →Service assigned guest rooms in accordance with hotel standards and procedures.
    • →Empty trash containers and ashtrays, ensuring proper disposal.
    • →Thoroughly clean and sanitize bathrooms, including mirrors, sinks, toilets, showers, bathtubs, and floors.
    • →Replenish bathroom supplies such as tissues, toiletries, and amenities in correct quantities and placement.
    • →Inspect and replace soiled or damaged bathrobes and linens.
    • →Strip and remake beds using clean, fresh linens according to standards.
    • →Clean closets and door tracks; ensure proper arrangement of hangers, extra bedding, and luggage racks.
    • →Dust and polish all furniture; reposition items according to room layout standards.
    • →Check all drawers and storage areas for guest belongings; remove and report any items left behind.
    • →Inspect under beds, furniture, and seating areas for debris and remove as necessary.
    • →Examine furniture and fixtures for damage; report any issues to the Supervisor.
    • →Clean upholstered furniture, including cushions and crevices, removing dust and debris.
    • →Dust and clean all decorative items such as pictures, frames, and mirrors.
    • →Clean and sanitize in-room electronics, including televisions, remote controls, and telephones.
    • →Set and verify correct time on all clocks.
    • →Clean and inspect lamps, light switches, and fixtures to ensure proper operation.
    • →Clean windows, ledges, and frames, removing smudges and dust.
    • →Empty and sanitize ice buckets; ensure all surfaces are dry.
    • →Maintain drapes by dusting regularly and ensuring proper alignment.
    • →Inspect and replenish in-room amenities and guest service materials.
    • →Clean balconies or patios, removing debris, trash, and cobwebs.
    • →Clean entrance doors, ensuring they are free of fingerprints and marks.
    • →Ensure required safety and informational materials (e.g., fire safety notices, rate cards, DND signs) are present and in good condition.
    • →Clean and maintain A/C units, vents, and thermostats; set to appropriate temperature.
    • →Clean baseboards, corners, and edges, removing dust and stains.
    • →Vacuum carpets thoroughly in all areas of the guest room.
    • →Deodorize rooms to maintain a fresh and pleasant environment.
    • →Clean kitchen and living room areas where applicable.
    • →Prepare additional bedding such as cribs, sofa beds, and rollaway beds as needed.
    • →Handle guest clothing carefully, including folding or rehanging when required.
    • →Update room status on assignment sheets accurately and promptly.
    • →Return, clean, and restock housekeeping carts at the end of each shift.
    • →Maintain and clean equipment, including emptying vacuum bags.
    • →Ensure the security of assigned guest room keys at all times.
    • →Report maintenance issues, damages, and safety concerns to the Supervisor immediately.
    • →Turn in all lost and found items in accordance with hotel procedures.
    • →Perform additional duties as assigned by management

    Requirements

    • High school diploma preferred
    • Two (2) years’ experience as a Room Attendant
    • High standard of work and attention to detail
    • Physical fitness and stamina
    • Ability to work alone and as part of a team
    • Honest and reliable work ethic
    • Respect for guest privacy
    • Polite and customer-oriented approach when dealing with guests
    • Excellent attention to detail, speed and accuracy
    • Ability to prioritize and organize.
    • Ability to execute directions precisely
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
    • Ability to effectively communicate with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding
