The Advisory Services (AS) Client Solutions Manager (CSM) is responsible for selling advisory services related to our focal areas of ecology, cultural resources, contamination assessment and remediation, permit compliance, water quality, coastal ecology, and environmental engineering. This position is vital to the region’s sales and business development function and actively promotes RES’ solutions across Florida. We strongly prefer this person to be based in a city where RES has an office, with preference for Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, or Orlando. We are also open to candidates located elsewhere in Florida, depending on business needs and candidate fit.
Responsibilities
- Achieve a defined annual sales target that enables RES to achieve its strategic growth plan
- Prospect and develop a sales pipeline of 4x to goal and drive growth in the core business and emerging strategic solutions
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams in the RES sales process to market its solutions to a list of target clients
- Position RES as a strategic advisor that monitors relevant client issues and engages with innovative solutions
- Meaningfully participate in conferences and trade groups, and identify other external leadership roles to elevate brand awareness for RES and drive lead generation
- Monitor and share feedback about changes in customer behavior and preferences so RES can actively refine its offering
- Meet with clients to further develop opportunities from existing contracts and positioning RES for new contracts
- Prepare responses to government requests for qualifications
We would like to talk to you if you have many of the following:
- BA/BS Biology, Environmental Science, Geology, Hydrology, Engineering, Agricultural Science, or similar Science
- Three or more years of Regulatory or Environmental consulting experience as a “seller-doer” responsible for leading the pursuit and delivery of projects
- Demonstrated existing relationships with state and federal regulatory agencies, responsible parties, site developers, engineering firms, legal counsel, and corporate environmental departments
- Knowledge of, and experience with, relevant environmental regulations and permits/approvals (e.g. CERCLA, RCRA, state brownfield programs, CWA 404/402/401, NWP/IP, NPDES, ESA)
- Demonstrated existing relationships with state and federal regulatory agencies, responsible parties, site developers, engineering firms, legal counsel, and corporate environmental departments
- Understanding of restoration design principles, approaches, and supporting technical information, such as engineering design plans, functional calculations, and ecological data
- Experience leading clients through complex negotiations, including creative procurement solutions and pricing strategies
- Experience Selling to multiple stakeholders and build consensus that leads to commercial bookings
- Ability to travel up to 50% of your time, business depending
What will make you stand out:
- Experience securing contracts with FDOT, Florida municipalities, ports and Florida’s water management districts.
- Familiarity with GIS capabilities and functions
- Experience leading a multidisciplinary team through a defined sales process to win projects
- Track record of sales/bookings
