Product Lead, Finance Experience

We’re hiring a Product Lead to run the Finance Experience team, a new team that owns shared experiences across the finance suite: forms, permissions, policies, notifications, and APIs. In this role, you will identify how the suite can share common solutions to many customers’ problems, and build towards a consistent admin- and employee-facing UX across our finance suite. You’ll define a vision for the suite’s shared experiences and share that vision with PMs and engineers across the organization. This role will work with a dedicated engineering team and will closely collaborate with all teams in the suite.

• →Define the vision and roadmap for the Finance Experience team, who are responsible for shared products across the Finance suite.
• →Own the admin configuration experience for the suite as we go further upmarket, ensuring that admins can seamlessly configure dynamic policies, workflows, reports, forms, and permissions.
• →Own the employee-facing experience for custom forms, approvals, notifications, and tasks within the Finance suite to build a world-class, consumer-grade product.
• →Partner with platform teams to ensure that the Rippling platform is evolving in ways that are compatible with the needs of our finance users.
• →Partner with engineering, design, and go-to-market teams to launch polished features that move the needle with new and existing customers.
• →Build for some of Rippling’s largest and most complex customers, and generalize those learnings into products that can serve thousands more.
• →Make thoughtful prioritization calls across customer commitments, platform reliability, and strategic AI investments.
  
  

• →7+ years of product management experience, ideally with exposure to finance or spend management systems, enterprise software, no-code automation tools, or other B2B SaaS.
• →Systems thinking: You can find the common denominators of 5+ finance products (and understand the customer needs they address), and design solutions that work across the suite.
• →AI-pilled: You understand that AI changes the way work happens, for yourself, your team, and your customers. You fold AI into the products you build for customers, and you leverage AI in your day-to-day work to maximize your efficiency.
• →Technical judgment: You understand the data models that compose the system, identify where designs will fail, and partner with engineering to build products that are reliable, scalable, and easy for customers to trust.
• →Customer empathy and judgment: You can find the root causes for customer issues and understand the underlying flexibility they need, and you can build the product customers will love using.
• →Ability to operate in ambiguity, make tradeoffs, and drive alignment across engineering, design, support, implementation, and GTM teams.
• →Excellent written and verbal communication: You can convince product and engineering leaders across the suite to adopt your products, and you can distill the needs of customers to make technical arguments in favor of your solutions.
• →Bias for ownership and follow-through: You don’t just ship features; you own whether the workflow works in production.

• Experience as a product manager on a platform team balancing the needs of multiple downstream product teams
• Experience building products for enterprise or multi-entity customers
• Experience as a software engineer is not required, but can help thinking 
• Experience building AI-assisted or automated operational workflows is a plus.
