Assistant Manager E Shift - W19

• →Ensure the facility performs yard checks, including checking all trailers in dock doors and in yard for empties and loads.
• →Make sure yard has no trailers parked in such a way as to hinder movement of the other trailers.
• →Ensures all paperwork from previous day’s work is complete and distributed to proper departments.
• →Oversees loading/unloading of all carriers.
• →Make sure trailers are emptied and available for local drivers.
• →Conducts periodic dock safety checks.
• →Keeps track of warehouse customer’s inventory by computer and complete physical inventory counts.
• →Ensures timely processing of warehouse customer orders, bill preparation and inventory control.
• →Oversee the picking of orders from the warehouse and the staging or loading of the orders.
• →Ensures proper scheduling of carriers to pick up warehouse customer orders as directed by the customers.
• →Managing warehouse personnel, scheduling work hours, personnel issues, performance reviews, and all disciplinary actions.
• →Ensure all training of fork-lift operators on the procedures for handling company freight and specific requirements for handling customer’s freight.
• →Manage warehouse space and maximize usage of warehouse layout.
• →Ensure warehouse is kept clean and organized at all times, and know that all food safety requirements are met.

• Warehouse management experience with additional background in Inventory Control Systems.
• Solid experience in Excel, data entry, and general computer skills.
• Experienced in managing a staff of 30 or more employees and multiple shifts.
• Ability to maintain a clean and orderly warehouse operation.
• Good communication.
• Leadership and management abilities.

• Flexibility in working overtime when needed, and supplying coverage to other shifts.
• Ability to work in a fast paced warehouse.

• Three (3) to Five (5) years of management experience.
• Experienced in Warehousing Management

• College Degree Preferred or extensive background in transportation warehouse management.
