Warehouse Engineer

We are seeking a results-oriented Warehouse Engineer to provide comprehensive technical support and drive continuous improvement within our warehouse operations. This role is dedicated to enhancing operational efficiency through layout design, process standardization, and the application of advanced digital systems, ensuring that warehouse resources are optimized to support ZIJIN’s business objectives.

The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between engineering theory and shop-floor execution. By applying lean practices and intelligent transformation methodologies, you will lead project execution to modernize warehouse workflows. This role is critical in transforming traditional storage into an efficient, tech-driven operation that maintains high standards of equipment management and resource utilization.

  Design and optimize warehouse layout, evaluating capacity, workflow, and storage strategies to improve space utilization and operational efficiency.

  Analyze warehouse processes to identify bottlenecks and waste; propose and implement improvement initiatives.

  Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and engineering standards.

  Introduce and implement lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, and other management tools to drive lean transformation in warehouse operations.

  Participate in the requirements analysis, implementation, and continuous improvement of WMS, SAP, PDA or other related systems to enhance system support for business operations.

  Promote the application of digital tools (e.g., RFID, handheld terminals, etc.) to improve data accuracy and operational efficiency.

  Conduct collection, analysis, and visualization of warehouse operational data to support management decision-making and KPI monitoring.

  Manage the technical selection, introduction, maintenance, and upgrade of warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, racking systems, conveyors, AS/RS, AGVs).

  Develop equipment maintenance plans and operating procedures to ensure safe, stable, and efficient operation.

  Daily site check on equipment & infrastructure to identify improvement opportunities by safety, efficiency, quality, and energy & cost saving aspect.

  Develop plans to ensure materials are available for major shutdowns and maintenance projects.

  Communicate maintenance schedule changes and the implications for the delivery of ordered materials.

  Deal with end user complaints and develop according solution to improve customer satisfaction by root-cause analysis.

  Organize routine and specialized warehouse and inventory control meetings.

  Monitor and proactively push forward the optimization projects’ execution schedule.

  Analyze business data and generate a report.
