Logistics Coordinator - Healthcare

• →Administer all logistics operations within our company's scheduled services division. This role involves managing goods' movement, storage, and distribution, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with regulations.
• →Work closely with various teams to coordinate logistics activities and optimize processes to meet company objectives.
• →Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality.
• →Manage inventory control processes, including forecasting, replenishment, and monitoring inventory levels to minimize excess or shortage.
• →Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the performance of logistics operations, analyze data to identify areas for improvement, and take corrective actions as necessary.
• →Lead and motivate a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and training to ensure high performance and continuous development.
• →Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and optimize resource utilization within the logistics function.
• →Manage the entire supply chain process, from procurement to distribution. This includes sourcing vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of equipment and supplies.
• →Maintaining accurate inventory levels is crucial in healthcare to ensure facilities have the necessary equipment and supplies.
• →Help implement inventory management systems and procedures to track stock levels, anticipate demand, and prevent shortages or overstock situations.
• →Healthcare logistics involves adherence to strict regulations, standards, and other regulatory bodies.
• →Stay updated on these regulations and ensure that all logistics activities comply with them.
• →Coordinating the transportation of medical imaging equipment and supplies requires careful planning to ensure safe and timely delivery.
• →Work with freight carriers, arranging for specialized transportation for sensitive equipment, and optimizing delivery routes.
• →Ensuring the quality and integrity of medical imaging equipment and supplies throughout the logistics process is essential for patient safety and regulatory compliance.
• →Implement quality assurance measures, such as inspection protocols and proper handling procedures, to maintain product integrity.
• →Healthcare organizations often operate under tight budgets, so cost management is a critical aspect of the logistics manager's role.
• →Optimize transportation, storage, and procurement processes to reduce costs while maintaining quality and efficiency.
• →Effective communication and collaboration with various stakeholders, including healthcare providers, equipment manufacturers, distributors, and regulatory agencies, are essential for successful healthcare logistics operations.
• →Building and maintaining strong relationships with these stakeholders is key to ensuring smooth logistics operations.

• A Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. An advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCMP, CSCP) is a plus.
• Proven experience in logistics management, with a strong understanding of transportation, warehousing, and inventory management principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience in leading cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in logistics software and systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Smartsheet is a plus.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in logistics and supply chain management.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Residence within the greater Indianapolis area
