Visiting Faculty

Scale AI invites applications for a Visiting Faculty position with expertise in Machine Learning in the Healthcare Domain.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a closely related field, and a proven track record of innovative research in Machine Learning and its Applications in Healthcare Domain.

• →Develop Cutting Edge Research Program. Key Research Areas: Research interests should ideally align with areas such as:
• →Utilizing Electronic Health Records (EHRs) and non-clinical data (e.g., social media) for modeling and predicting health behaviors and outcomes.
• →Natural Language Processing (NLP), Multi-modal AI, and Large Language Models (LLMs) for processing patient data, understanding clinical outcomes, and ensuring safety, helpfulness and factuality in medical chatbots.
• →Developing prediction models for clinical issues (e.g., anti-cancer medication discontinuation, velopharyngeal dysfunction, breast cancer).
• →Addressing issues of bias and fairness in AI within healthcare.
• →and deep genomics.
• →Collaboration: Engage in collaborative research and development with engineers at Scale AI.

• A Ph.D. in Computer Science, Biostatistics, Biomedical Informatics, or a closely related quantitative field.
• Demonstrated excellence in research with a focus on Machine Learning and NLP applications in Healthcare, evidenced by high-impact publications and/or significant grant funding.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
