Internal Auditor

• →Plan and conduct audits of departments, branches, functions, or processes to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.
• →Examine adherence with SCCU policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws, rules, and regulations, and recommend actions to improve compliance.
• →Prepare audit workpapers and clear, unbiased audit reports that document findings, recommendations, conclusions, and actionable insights for Management.
• →Communicate timely and effectively with stakeholders regarding audit schedules, information requests, findings, and remediation efforts.
• →Maintain current knowledge of SCCU policies, procedures, federal and state laws, regulations, and internal audit industry standards and best practices.
• →Assist with audit tracking and follow-up, external audit and examination support, special investigations, and Audit Committee reporting as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a business-related field, or equivalent experience in a financial institution, required.
• 1–3 years of experience in internal auditing and/or external auditing required; experience in a credit union or financial institution preferred.

• Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
