About the Role

Responsibilities

→Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain irrigation, sprinkler, pumping, and plumbing systems throughout the facility.
→Service agricultural sprinklers, pumps, valves, fittings, and piping systems to ensure reliable operation.
→Monitor water flow and system performance, making adjustments as needed to maximize efficiency.
→Perform preventative maintenance on gas-powered trash pumps, electric sump pumps, and related equipment.
→Repair or replace damaged pipes, valves, fittings, and other system components.
→Complete HDPE pipe fusion and make plumbing modifications as operational needs evolve.
→Maintain drainage systems and ensure proper water movement across composting and production areas.
→Diagnose issues and proactively address potential problems before they impact operations.
→Maintain pump, valve, and irrigation component inventory to support efficient repairs and maintenance.
→Keep equipment, tools, and work areas clean, organized, and in safe operating condition.
→Collaborate closely with the Compost & Liquids team to support daily production and site operations.
→Assist with system upgrades, improvements, and expansion projects as needed.
→Follow all company safety policies and procedures while working around active equipment and operational areas.
→Support the team with additional duties and special projects as assigned

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Previous experience with irrigation, plumbing, pumps, agriculture, landscaping, water distribution systems, or related mechanical work preferred
Ability to understand valves, piping systems, flow rates, and pumping operations
Valid Driver's License preferred
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to walk on uneven terrain and work around active equipment
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to pass a background check and comply with our Drug-Free Workplace Policy
