Scopely is looking for a Senior Art Manager to join the Monopoly GO! team.

Monopoly GO! is our newest casual game and a flagship franchise, enjoyed by millions worldwide. The team is based in Europe and the US and works daily to create captivating new experiences for our players.

We are looking for an experienced Art Manager to lead and support a team of artists. This role is primarily focused on people management, team development, performance, staffing, and creating a healthy and effective working environment for artists.

The Art Manager will help artists grow their skills and careers, establish clear expectations, manage team capacity, and ensure the team is organized to support the broader creative goals of the studio. While the role will collaborate with production and development partners, its primary responsibility is the success, wellbeing, and development of the art team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of artists across one or more disciplines.
  • Establish clear expectations, goals, and standards for individual and team performance.
  • Provide regular feedback, coaching, performance reviews, and career guidance.
  • Monitor team health, morale, workload, and engagement.
  • Identify risks related to burnout, capacity, motivation, or team dynamics and address them proactively.
  • Support hiring, interviewing, onboarding, role definition, and organizational planning.
  • Manage team structure, staffing needs, succession planning, and resource allocation.
  • Help ensure artists are assigned to work that matches their skills, experience, and development goals.
  • Facilitate communication across the art team and ensure important information is shared clearly.
  • Represent the needs, concerns, and achievements of the art team to leadership.
  • Partnering with Art Directors and craft leads to support quality, standards, and professional growth.
  • Encourage the adoption of improved tools, workflows, and AI-enabled processes that benefit artists and the broader organization.
  • Maintain clear documentation related to team structures, responsibilities, development plans, and management processes.

Requirements

  • Significant experience working in game development.
  • Proven experience managing, mentoring, or leading artists.
  • Strong understanding of people management, performance management, and career
  • development.
  • Excellent communication, listening, conflict-resolution, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to provide clear, constructive, and actionable feedback.
  • Experience supporting teams through organizational change and evolving priorities.
  • Strong judgment, empathy, discretion, and professionalism.
  • Ability to balance individual needs with broader team and organizational priorities.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary and geographically distributed teams.
  • Experience managing artists in a mobile, casual, or live-service game environment.
  • Background in 2D, 3D, animation, VFX, UI, and/or technical art.
  • Experience with hiring and workforce planning
  • Familiarity with modern digital art tools, production workflows, and AI-assisted creative processes.
