Business Analyst (Order to Cash)

Role: Business Analyst (Order to Cash) Type: Full-time Location: Mississauga Environment: Hybrid - 2 days a week onsite Position Overview The ERP Business Analyst is responsible for understanding end to end business processes, translating operational and financial requirements into system functionality, and supporting integrations between enterprise systems. This role requires strong ERP experience, the ability to understand how transactions flow through to the General Ledger, and familiarity with core business cycles such as Order to Cash and Procure to Pay. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced, non structured environment, learns new systems independently, and can support both functional and technical teams. They will analyze, validate, and map financial data between systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure accurate GL posting and financial reporting. Experience in manufacturing is required. This role blends business process knowledge, finance understanding, systems analysis, and integration support. Requirements ERP & Systems Expertise • Hands on experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) • Ability to learn new ERP platforms independently • Understanding of system configuration, master data, and transactional flows • Experience supporting or working on integrations between two systems • Manufacturing type industry experience is required • Business Process Knowledge • Strong understanding of end to end business cycles: o Order to Cash (O2C) o Procure to Pay (P2P) o Record to Report (R2R) • Ability to map business processes and identify gaps • Comfortable working in non structured, tactical environments where processes evolve Finance & GL Mapping • Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals (A/R, A/P, inventory, etc.), and do not have to have worked with finance departments of in accounting in the past • Ability to trace transactions from operational steps through to GL posting • Experience with GL mapping, account structures, and financial data validation Integration & Data • Experience with data mapping between systems • Ability to validate financial data flowing from one system to another • Understanding of APIs, file transfers, or middleware at a functional level • Ability to troubleshoot integration failures or mismatches Business Analysis Skills • Requirements gathering and documentation • Ability to work with stakeholders across Finance, Operations, and IT • Strong analytical and problem solving skills • Comfortable working with partially completed requirements or legacy processes Soft Skills • Self starter who learns independently • Strong communication and collaboration skills • Ability to work with ambiguity and drive tasks forward Key Responsibilities • Collaborate with different departments during configuration and implementation. • Gather and document business and reporting requirements (BRDs, workflows, gap analysis). • Conduct gap analysis between current and future-state processes. • Support financial reporting design and validation. • Work closely with stakeholders to define: report requirements, data mapping • Ensure data accuracy during system transition and testing phases. • Participate in system and integration testing. • Support UAT with users.
