The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for administering and supporting the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. This role includes recruiting and onboarding employees; administering compensation, payroll coordination, benefits, leaves of absence, and employee records; and ensuring consistent application and enforcement of company policies, procedures, and employment practices. The HR Generalist serves as a resource to employees and management, supporting compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and promoting positive employee relations.
Responsibilities

- →Maintains accurate employee records and HRIS data, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
- →Interprets, applies, and enforces company policies and procedures consistently.
- →Provides guidance to management and employees on HR-related matters, employee relations issues, and workplace conduct.
- →Supports performance management processes, including documentation, corrective actions, and performance evaluations.
- →Assists with investigations, compliance audits, and corrective action processes as needed and with confidentiality.
- →Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- →Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, new technologies in human resources, and talent management.
- →Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
- →Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- →Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- →Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- →Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements
~2 min read- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- At least one year of human resource management experience preferred.
- SHRM-CP a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
- $80,000 - $85,000 per year
