Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol in Talladega, AL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• →Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or clients while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• →Conduct regular and random armed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas, reporting unusual conditions and helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• →Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and escalation procedures.
• →Maintain a visible presence while monitoring access points, visitor activity, and restricted areas in accordance with site requirements.
• →Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and actions taken, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.

• Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Have X-Ray screening experience preferred.
• Hold CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
