As a Security Officer Patrol in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help maintain a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff, and support access control activities. You will conduct routine rounds, remain visible to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. • →Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• →Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• →Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• →Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, access control procedures, and reporting of suspicious activity or policy violations.
• →Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
