About the Role

As the Administration Officer – Care Governance & Safeguarding, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the organisation’s governance, risk, compliance and assurance functions. Working closely with the General Manager - Care Governance & Safeguarding and key stakeholders across the business, you will provide high-level administrative, systems and coordination support that helps ensure effective governance practices, informed decision-making and continuous improvement. This role is ideal for an organised and proactive professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys connecting people, information and processes to support quality, accountability and organisational excellence.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the coordination and administration of governance, risk, compliance and assurance activities across the organisation
  • Maintaining governance documentation, records, registers and systems to support effective organisational oversight
  • Providing administrative support for committees, audits, reviews and other governance-related processes
  • Assisting with the management and reporting of governance, risk and compliance information, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Monitoring and tracking actions arising from governance activities to support accountability and timely completion
  • Maintaining accurate, confidential and compliant records across governance and business systems
  • Providing high-level administrative and project support to the General Manager Care Governance & Safeguarding
  • Building effective working relationships across the organisation to support collaboration, information sharing and informed decision-making

To be considered for this rewarding role you will have:

  • Capacity to build and maintain positive relationships through verbal, written and electronic communication
  • Ability to take instruction, multitask and manage time and priorities effectively
  • High level of organisational and administrative skills including the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills to influence positive change across a broad range of stakeholders
  • Confident and calm demeanour with diplomacy and the ability to liaise with people at all levels
  • A genuine team player who connects and interconnects across teams, joining the dots between information, people and processes
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a cohesive team and autonomously with minimum supervision
  • Demonstrated high level of attention to detail with a consistent approach

Requirements

  • Certificate III in Business (or similar qualification) or equivalent experience gained through previous roles undertaking a comparable range of activities
  • Current open/P1 “C” Class Queensland driver’s licence
  • Child Safety & Personal History Screening check
  • Positive notice working with children (blue card)
  • NDIS workers screening Clearance
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module “Quality, Safety & You” completion certificate

The Administration Officer – Care Governance & Safeguarding is a Fulltime position based in Townsville.
