Responsibilities

(a)To provide quality examination and reporting of routine/non-routine samples and seizure exhibits in a timely manner.
(b) To supervise and provide advice to junior scientists and laboratory officers on standard and investigative cases, ensuring cases meet turn-around-time (TAT)
(c) To lead assigned research and development projects, and carry out method optimisation and validation studies.
(d) To review and improve testing procedures, quality control measures, and work processes to optimize throughput whilst maintaining analytical integrity.
(e) To provide expert testimony in court.
Requirements
~1 min readStrong background in Chemistry or related field.
Minimum 5 years of laboratory experience.
- Able to work independently, as well as in a team
- Has leadership attributes
- Good analytical and organisational skills
- Ability to multi-task and work independently under tight timelines
- Able to work effectively with people from different backgrounds
- Highly motivated with strong desire to protect public health and safety
- Knowledge in Python programming and scripting languages would be advantageous
